Thoughts for the day

Had a rough day, because programming sux... Anyone who's doing well in CS1102C, I take my hat off to you! (Let me know who you are cos then I'll need to buy one.) Struggled with it till I had to leave for my Japanese lesson, which was about.. 5? And still I can't do it... Even with the help of Wen and Kenneth, whom I really thank... I still can't do it... I must have some logic deficiency in my brain when it comes to this... Sigh... I pray that I'll be able to hand it in before Saturday...

IF I CAN'T FINISH IT I WILL NOT SLEEP UNTIL 6 AM ON SATURDAY MORNING.

Anyway, the way to my Japanese class was pretty uneventful, except for a minor (I hope) lover's tiff... I mean, honestly... What is it with possessive guys? Whatever happened to trust? Of course I totally believe that there're girls that can be quite untrustworthy, and so as well with guys, but I'm pretty sure the person in question isn't like that! If you don't trust her why be with her at all? Urgh... I'm only mentioning this because I had to put up with a distracted friend during Japanese lesson and that kinda irks me... =) On the way back though, we passed by a little push-cart shop called Poisson Rouge. For those of you that go to Bugis Junction you can see it sometime... I was just wondering if the owner knows that his/her shop is called Red Fish. Or perhaps there's some symbolism there that's lost on me... Red herring? No idea...

On the train ride home I had time to myself, which inevitably (guess who says this!) leads to me thinking... I thought about a lot of things, my (*%#&(*%$ programming not the least of it, but since that's already been discussed, I shall skip it... Was thinking about some of my friends (shall not mention names again), and their relationships... How some people are meant for some people, and how some people just aren't right for each other... It's funny isn't it? You can know someone for 10 years, and they've never caught your eye, but in an instant everything can change. And you can also have just met a person, and immediately you feel what people generally call "love at first sight". Personally neither has happened to me, I doubt the people I've known for 10 years actually still know I exist anyway, and personally I don't really believe in love at first sight... I do believe in "like at first sight" though, because love is really an attraction of character rather than looks, and well... Sight is all about looks isn't it? And if you observe a person long enough that's not really a first sight... (ok enough with semantics) To all interested people, there's no special reason I'm writing this except that I had some spare time on the train listening to my nice 抒情歌曲s, and they just lead me to think about these things.

Oh well, tomorrow is another day, the day after is another, and the day after that yet another... Life goes on and on and on... until it doesn't, then it stops. (Being on the train in the tunnel reminded me of FD3 =p Especially when I saw a little beetle crawling along the floor into one of the openings between the carriages... Cool huh?). Feeling mildly melancholic again... I can't recall when I last used that word... But it's a very fitting word at the moment...

Some things happened, and I'm glad they did... Some things didn't and I'm glad they didn't... For everything that did and didn't that I'm glad for, there are an equal number of things I'm not glad about...
