Badminton is fun!

Whee! Have a packed week coming up, but all of it is fun activities! (hopefully band camp will be fun...) Anyway, We had a badminton outing today, just 4 of us with 1 court for 2 hours... We played doubles for the whole 2 hours, rotating partners all the way... Wow... Granted I didn't do much running, but I'm a little shocked I managed to last that long. Although! My service is all wrong... When I want the shuttlecock to go left it ends up going right, and vice versa... I seriously lack practice... We need to go play badminton more often! All interested parties will let me know in future I hope, though I think I'd like to change the grip on my racquet first, it's quite... well, annoying... I hope I don't get a blister on my hand...

After that, we went for lunch and ended up at Mau's place playing mahjong... But before that there was a round of SF II on his Xbox. SF II? Yes, Street Fighter II... The super old, really not very fun game we used to love and adore at arcades... I mean really, they don't even allow you to block in the air, which basically means once you jump, either you hit him and throw him off balance, or he hits you... Usually hard... As it were, seeing he only has one controller, we ended up playing using Ryu and using -only- Heavy Kicks... We got up to E-honda before we all got beaten to tiny little bits, before Mau stepped in and beat him (yes we took turns), before losing sadly to Guile... After that someone finally decided to bring up chairs and a mahjong set, so the game started. Leaving out important details, let's leave it that I was the sole winner today... ^_^ Anyway after that we all left for home and here I am! After a shower of course...

As I mentioned though, I've things on everyday this week, so I hope it'll be fun... There's band pract on Wed, and I've a very strange question to ask... Should I try to learn how to play the tuba? I mean, we've (NTUSB) gone for many practs without a single tubist in sight, and personally I feel that the base part of any band is the most important part... I mean, without a support, how can you even think about building anything? Of course, there's absolutely no way I know how to play a tuba properly considering I don't even know the fingerings for them and stuff, besides for the Bb scale which I'm not even very confident of... Oh well, we'll see, maybe band camp I'll play around with one and see how things go.

Band camp on Fri-Sun! Wonder if I should stay over... I mean, if there're people staying over den I dun mind lah, but if everyone's going to stay in hall and stuff, I'm not going to be the only one living in NYH yarh? It's quite... ulu and all... Maybe I'll ask emmy if anyone's staying...

Ah well, I can't wait for the rest of this week to come... It sounds like it's going to be fun! I hope so anyway... At least it gives me something to take my mind off thinking so much, which seems to only come up when I've nothing to do, but that's normal isn't it? Bleh I'm tired and my back aches... Oww...

Looking forward to the week! But I still want my mp3 player back!!!

I miss my mp3 player!

Yes, the Creative people still have it. The earphones output connector was spoilt or something because the connection was just terrible at times, so I took it in for repairs a couple of days back... I passed it to the tech people and waited half an hour before having them tell me "sorry, we can't fix it... you'll have to wait 2-3 weeks for a replacement." Honestly that's just stupid... Considering that I know what the problem is, and that they can't possibly fix it without ripping the whole thing apart and replacing the part or the connector wires or something, shouldn't they have known that they can't do that there? Especially not in half an hour.... Could've told me on the spot that I'd have to get a replacement set wad no meh?? Anyway, evidently they're out of stock, and I've had someone suggest to me that the reason they're out of stock is because they have to give out too many replacement sets... I'm beginning to suspcet it's true too...

Well, that only came to mind because the deliveryman sent something to my place that's supposed to be use with my Zen micro, but obviously I can't test it out unless I actually -have- one. (thx for the present anyway tho, I hope to be able to use it soon)

Is Rice Table supposed to be very nice? I don't think so leh... It's 15 bucks for the lunch buffet, but the choics are so so so limited that it's hardly worth it, granted though, that the food is actually quite good, and the crackers are fantastic... So, I doubt I'm going back there again...

Speaking of food, I've quite the craving for steamboat now. Hmm... I hope tomorrow's dinner isn't cancelled, not like the 2 KTV sessions I was suppsoed to have had yesterday... And to all of you who are sick, get well soon k? We'll go another time... But you organise!

Actually I've also got quite the itch for mahjong now... urgh... Wonder why the winning streak I had last time I played doesn't come about all the time... I'd be rich! Well, ok not even close, but I'd at least have some spending money... Hmm...But then again, I wonder if I'm going out far too often... I really need sleep...

Is it so wrong to like someone?

It's happening again...

Yes it is, for those that understand it you'll know what I mean.

Anyway, I just had 2 outings cancelled today... One last night and one this morning... or afternoon ba, 12+ should be afternoon already... Both KTV outings, actually one after the other, which would actually have given me 8 hrs of singing, albeit with others, but still, quite likely to have a whopping sore throat after that... But instead I had nothing to do, so I decided to stay home and watch... Star Wars! Yes, all 6 episodes of it from 1-6... Yes I'm bored, but thankfully I decided to skip the boring parts and flip right to the fighting/flying/lightsaber-waving scenes. Which brings up an interesting point... Does anyone else notice that they reuse a lot of lines from 4-6 in 1-3? You never really do notice things like that unless you're quite as bored as I am.

Tomorrow! There's another outing planned with someone I haven't seen in quite a while, and probably won't for another half a year at least... I shall hope it won't be cancelled, but I don't really know what'll happen.

Got my Japanese school test results today... 227/250, not bad ba, even though I highly suspect I'm near the bottom of the class. Thanks lots for checking for me! And now I'm torn between taking intensive 2 hrs twice a week sessions for half a year, and normal 1 hr twice a week sessions for a full year... On the one hand, I don't really see the point of going down all the way to Bugis (BUGIS LEH, it's very far away) just for 1 hr of lessons... But on the other hand, I don't really think I can cope with the 4 hrs a week and the workload, considering that the difficulty of all my subjects are going to get tougher, and with the horrible, terrible results I'm expecting for this sem... I'd be glad for any advice/ideas anyone has =)

Things happen when you least expect them to, especially when you think they've come and gone...

Just came back from a chalet!

Goodness... Chalets are tiring! Or maybe it's just that I don't sleep during the nights... Anyway the bbq was quite...erm... sad. I got there late perhaps, that's why there wasn't exactly very much food left... And emmy didn't get me my lobster like she said she would =( LOBSTER!!!

Anyway, spending the whole night playing fifa 06 was interesting... Although I still quite prefer winning 11 on the ps2 and not on the xbox.

After going for 2 band practs since the break, I've found that... guess what? Nothing much's changed... I mean at least we're playing some interesting pieces now, but the band's still sorely lacking in players and we can hardly call ourselves a group when most of us are just running about in our own little worlds... And yes we're still out of tune. But I hold on to the hope that one day we'll actually be able to play properly... Preferably before Sojourn too.

Yes! Finally a KTV outing recently... Got to sing the songs I wanted to sing, and hoping that the next few ones will prove to be good too!

KTV!!!!!
